Hi Mary. You may still publish it after the contest. The info you're referring to means that the actual email copy you send to us will not be returned.

Until two years ago paper copies were sent in to the contest and we kept them, did not return them to entrants.

I hope you will enter the contest. :)

Thank you for your question. We are in the process of writing something to make it clearer on the website.

Just a question. If I enter my story, does that mean I am unable to publish it after the contest? I see it belongs to you once it is entered.

Thanks fo the info, Mary

At the Halifax table we didn't have copies of Hot Apple Cider (the book) to sell but I did try the liquid hot apple cider for the first time ever--tasty!

The Word Guild member Linda Lewis and I had a good day at our booth. Not a huge amount of conversations, but some very good ones.

Congratulations to Eric E. Wright, and to all the nominees. Captives of Minara is on my to-read list. I enjoyed Eric's first book, The Lightning File.

Blessings,

I just joined The Word Guild, paying for membership though Pay Pal. If only my mother could have seen me do it. In heaven she sees more wonderous things, come to think of it,as does my father. Back to earth.
The box where I was to type where I had heard about The Word Guild alowed only a few words before it locked up. There must be a little problem there. Other than that all went smoothly.
The Fraser Valley Christian Writers Group informed me about The Word Guild.Today I spoke briefly toGrace Fox and she reminded me of your web site. Thank you for this opprtunity to join you, Carol

Donna, God's sovereignty in your life is obvious. May He continue to help you process your experience in a healing way, and may He show you how to use it for His kingdom.

I was visiting someone and opened up a conversation about Haiti and they said they didn't care what was going on over there, as I continued, I said I knew someone there and that changes ones mind. I had just discovered that my pastor and his wife arrived one hr before the quake. That woke me up and I started praying hard and asking questions to God and made a few phone calls. They made it back to Calgary 5 days later to tell their story. Our church will never be the same. We will all be touched by the quake in Haiti. What my pastor said that touched me the most was this: find someone who is from Haiti and help them out. Now I ask people where they are from, because I care. We don't know why these things happen but we can step out of our comfort zone and show that we care.
