]]> Comment on Haiti and Hope by Dorothy Sessa http://canadianchristianwriters.com/haiti-and-hope/comment-page-1/#comment-15 Dorothy Sessa Sun, 31 Jan 2010 04:57:27 +0000 http://canadianchristianwriters.com/?p=126#comment-15 I was visiting someone and opened up a conversation about Haiti and they said they didn't care what was going on over there, as I continued, I said I knew someone there and that changes ones mind.  I had just discovered that my pastor and his wife arrived one hr before the quake.  That woke me up and I started praying hard and asking questions to God and made a few phone calls.  They made it back to Calgary 5 days later to tell their story.  Our church will never be the same.  We will all be touched by the quake in Haiti.  What my pastor said that touched me the most was this:  find someone who is from Haiti and help them out.  Now I ask people where they are from, because I care.  We don't know why these things happen but we can step out of our comfort zone and show that we care.
